July 4, 2016 (Happy Birthday, America!)
I may as well get the excuses out there...since mid May, my spare time has been eaten up by competing my 36 page Masters paper! Now that I'm officially done with that degree, I have a bit more time on my hands (at least for the summer, as I'll be starting my next degree for my principals license in the fall) so hopefully I'll get another couple of posts in this summer.
Laura informed me I have not posted since April. So rather than trying to think about what's changed since then, I'll give you an update on what the little guy is up to...
He is rolling over both ways when laying on his blanket
He is babbling and making noises almost as much as his sister talks
He is always smiling (unless he is screaming because his pants need changing or he's hungry)
He still doesn't sleep through the night regularly but on occasion he will
He laughs and giggles only when he is with his daddy (according to mom)
He loves when his sister interacts with him
He poops like its his job
He loves watching Lexi and she loves laying by him and when we aren't watching she licks his face whenever he is in his bouncer until we kick her away
He hates going to bed and taking naps (unless he falls asleep on his own) and he will scream for more than 40 minutes if you let him...
He has one hell of a temper!!!
This little guy is becoming less work and stressful each day and a bit more fun at the same time. He is a total stud and all the ladies love him and he plays into it...whenever we are at a restaurant, servers stop by and visit him and gather around yet they pass on other babies sitting nearby! He may get all the ladies, but his dad got the best lady!!!
I'm so far behind, I don't even know what else to say. Being a dad of two kids is twice as much work but twice as rewarding at the same time. Erica continues to show her awesome personality each day. She makes everyone laugh yet gets mad when you tell her she's funny. She has a quick whit and a charm that makes my heart melt even when I want to be mad at her...I'm scared to death of what she will be like at 15!!! All I know is that I better have a couple of guns ready to clean when the boys start coming over.
Enjoy a few pics below. Like I said, I'm so far behind I can't begin to catch up at this point. So I hope my kids and you all forgive me...thanks for checking out my Daddy Diary!
Always smiling
He can mostly support a bottle on his own now
Watching heavy machinery tear up our street one morning
Super flexible with an appetite for toes
Erica and Hunter playing together at the lake
Erica, age 3 on Lake Superior at "Lexi's Beach" not far from my parents' lake home
Always good to read about my Grandchildren and see their pictures on your blog. They make my heart sing. Thanks for posting.
