Welcoming Erica Jean

Yesterday afternoon at 1:42pm, our little Erica Jean came into our lives weighing 8lbs 14oz and 21.5 inches long!!!

I'll be writing a much more detailed account of her delivery and the hospital stay leading up to her birth once I have a real keyboard in front of me!!! Since then, we've moved into a normal room and out of the delivery ward. Mom and baby have continued to do well. Mom is currently napping next to me and I'm holding the most precious gift a person could ever ask for...and her name is Erica!!!

Since last night, my 2 girls have been learning how to nurse and I've been able to get some descent sleep after going almost 45 hours awake on 1 hour of sleep.

Erica has a normal "24hr" test to take around 2 this afternoon. If all goes well with that, we are hoping to be making our way home by dinner time tonight!!! All 3 of us are looking forward to being in our own home and having Erica meet her big "sister" Lexi for the first time!!! Maybe the 4 of us will even get in a short walk tonight?!?
